Why should I go to the Travel Clinic of New York instead of my primary care physician?
At the Travel Clinic NY, patients will be seen by a board certified doctor that has extensive expertise in travel health and vaccinations. Our travel doctor will provide you with an individualized consultation that is specifically tailored according to your travel plans, and provide you with the necessary vaccines and medications you may need. Your primary care physician might lack travel expertise and might not carry the vaccines you will need, which is why is better to visit a certified travel center like the Travel Clinic NYC to ensure a healthy and safe trip.
What does a consultation at the Travel Center NYC consist of?
During your personalized one-on-one consultation at the Travel Clinic NYC, our travel doctor will review the recommended travel vaccines depending on the country you’ll be visiting. A thorough review of your travel itinerary and medical history will be done to ensure that you receive only the travel vaccinations that you specifically need. A malaria risk assessment will be done so that our travel doctor can prescribe you the necessary antimalarial drugs and other travel-related medications you may need to prevent diseases. In the end, you will be given all recommended travel vaccines, which are readily available at our travel clinic. An International Certificate of Immunization (Yellow card) will be issued for each vaccine after your consultation at the travel clinic.
