Is the vaccine safe?
Vimkunya is FDA-approved and contains no live virus, so it cannot give you chikungunya. In clinical trials the most common reactions in adults under 65 were injection-site soreness, tiredness, headache, and muscle aches — most mild and gone within a day or two. Reactions were even milder in adults 65 and older.
